Alaska has almost always been a mining state, from coal and ore to gold, and remnants of some of the earlier excavation sites can still be found here. Also included are other historic places and environmental sites that will be added as I can.
Over the past several years, I’ve begun documenting these remnants using the medium of the time, film. Each image will be photographed traditionally in either 6×6, 6×7, 4×5, or 8×10 format, and prepared as silver gelatin prints.
It is my sincere pleasure to be able to share this unique look at some of Alaska’s well, and little known areas, and I hope you enjoy taking the journey with me.
